Happy Saturday!

Spring is one of the best season to go on dates, play with eyeshadows, and switch up the lip color. Anything goes— from nude shades, intense brights, or soft pastel colors. I love nudes a lot on my eyes so that I can wear a bold lip. I’ve never been a fan of a bold lip and bold eyes; it just looks like too much.

Have you ever heard of Younique?

Younique is the name of a beauty brand that markets and sells almost exclusively through social media. They are the first direct sales company to do it. The concept behind Younique is to create quality beauty products that are free from harmful fillers, parabens and other toxic ingredients. The products that I tried from Younique were the

Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes + Review

First and foremost, I loved the packaging and the presentation. I was super excited to receive this product first because I love lash lengthening mascaras. My lashes are short and stubby. Also, there are steps to use this product. I do not recommend trying to put this mascara on in a hurry.

Steps

  1. Coat your lashes with the Transplanting Gel.  Add extra gel to the tips of your lashes.
  2. Add the Natural Fibers the ends of your lashes, starting about halfway down. Really wiggle the brush to gets tons of fibers on.
  3. Coat your lashes with the Transplanting Gel, but only where you applied the fibers. This is the last step unless you’d like to add even more length.
  4. I repeated these steps about 3x

Both Lashes Done.

Pros: I like how long they look. I don’t really like falsies so I am always on a hunt for effective lengthening mascaras. This one has definitely made my list.

Cons: Be careful with the fibers. They can easily get in your eye. All you have to do is just be meticulous about applying. Not a deal breaker

Removal

It comes off with a makeup remover wipe or with your regular ol’ facial cleanser. I like to use coconut oil to remove stubborn eye makeup. This mascara seems a tad more water-resistant than regular mascara.

Verdict

I’d definitely use this again. This could be considered special occasion mascara or if you love dramatic eyes, everyday mascara.

Moodstruck Addiction Shadow Palette in Warm Palette #1 Review

The first thing that I thought of upon viewing the Addiction palette was the ‘infamous Naked Palette,’ that I have yet to of tried. I was (and still am) super stoked about trying a product that is very similar to that.

There’s nothing better than fresh unused eyeshadow.

I decided to create a nude smokey eye with these colors. The colors that I used to create the look were Elated, Sincere, Forthright, and Zealous. I used an eyeshadow primer that I received in my ipsy bag called Thank Me Later by Elizabeth Mott. I wanted the maximum pigmentation for my first experience and I wasn’t taking any chances. Eyeshadow primer helps the color go on smooth and prevents eyeshadow crease. It also can make eyeshadow appear more pigmented.

I started out by taking the lightest eyeshadow, Elated, and putting eyeshadow on my lids and beneath my brows. I then added the shade Brassy on the lid and in the crease with a blending brush. This is a slightly warmer tone.

To deepen the eye, I loaded a flat eyeshadow brush with a contour color, Forthright, and dabbed it into the crease and ends of eye.

Now, to add a little drama, I added the shade Zealous to the outer corner of my eyes and then swept it across my crease. I kept blending with a blending brush until there were no harsh lines.

I kept darkening the crease until I got the desired dramatic look. To finish off this look, I used the Moonstruck 3D Fiber Mascara and a bold matte lipstick called Wicked by Lime Crime .

Pros: The eyeshadow went on smooth and lasted all night until I washed my face. Some of the shadows have a subtle pretty shimmer that glimmers in high & low light settings.

Cons: None

Verdict

I like this quality eyeshadow palette. I would recommend this product and would replace this when it runs out.
